Lean Into Therapy is committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and to the responsible, secure use of your personal data.
I have a legitimate interest in processing personal data in order to provide psychotherapeutic services. The purpose of this statement is to explain what personal information I collect and hold, why I collect this data, how long it is kept, and your rights in relation to your personal data.

Information Collected
I collect and store information that you provide when you enquire about therapy services, book sessions, or attend workshops. This information may include your name, contact details, availability, and any other relevant information you choose to share.
I keep this data in order to provide services that are fit for purpose and in line with professional and legal requirements. In accordance with my insurance and professional obligations, I retain client records for 7 years after the end of therapy.
Your personal information is not shared with any other person or organisation without your knowledge or consent.
Exceptions to this are:
If there is a safeguarding concern relating to a child or vulnerable adult, or
If there is a legal obligation to disclose information.
I will never share your information for marketing, market research, or commercial purposes.
How Your Data is Held
I take all reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse, or unauthorised access of the information you provide. I regularly review my processes to ensure they meet current data protection standards.
Electronic data is stored on secure, password-protected platforms. I do not routinely hold paper records about clients, but if I do, these are kept in a locked filing cabinet.
Contact with clients is typically made via unencrypted email (Gmail), unless you request an encrypted alternative. By contacting me via email, you acknowledge and accept that this method is not entirely risk-free. While I take reasonable measures to protect against viruses and other harmful effects, I cannot guarantee complete security of email communications.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
Request a copy of the information I hold about you,
Ask that I correct, update, or delete your personal data, where appropriate,
Withdraw consent for me to hold or process your data (where applicable).
